A Rather Unhealthy Obsession

Introducing the debut collection by young poet Dominic Aberdeen. Telling the story of a lost soul learning to deal with the grief of ending a relationship during the outbreak of a global lockdown, following the tales of coping with the loss and feelings of despair, how the truth of a year-long abuse story unfolds, learning to cope with mental demons and healing the wounds that nearly cost a life.

The poems are told in order of progress and thoughts, a timeline that goes from having no hope to being able to let go and exhaling a massive sigh of relief, knowing that the light is being touched that was once thought as impossible to reach.

Based on a true series of events, used as an efficient coping method during dark times and evidently a pivotal part of the recovery.
